Langtang Ganja La Pass Trek takes you over Ganja-La Pass situated at 5130m. As you make your way south of Langtang village at a height of 3300m, the Langtang Ganja La Pass trek embraces the dramatic views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Yala peak, Naya Kanga, Gaurishanker, the Himal Chuli, and Mananslu.
Langtang Ganja La Pass trek is a challenging and adventure trek because of its difficulty. It requires technical skill and climbing equipment. It is also a popular trek among tourists as the main attraction of Ganja La Pass trek is an entirely wilderness adventure trek. The trek includes many Tibetan and Tamang villages and beautiful snow peaks. Kyangjing Gompa is a quaint little Tibetan village where you get a chance to experience the simplicity of Tibetan culture.
Ganja La Pass is both lodging and camping trek. There are three days along the way with no lodges and settlements so only camping are possible and should be well equipped with food and supplies.
On your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be greeted with flower garlands/Khadas. Our representative will then take you to your hotel. If time prevails, you will visit office for paperwork. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, you will visit popular world heritage monuments in Kathmandu including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, and Pashupatinath. Alternatively, you can choose Bhakatapur and Patan sightseeing. By late afternoon you will drive back to your hotel. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After early morning breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi which takes about nine hours. You head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Syabru Besi passing through Dhunche. Stay overnight at lodge.
After breakfast trek from Syabru Besi (1600m.) to Lama Hotel (2470m.) takes about five and half hours. The first part of the trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. Thereafter, your trek ascends gently to Rimche (2400m.) through Bamboo (1960m.) which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. Stay overnight at lodge.
Early morning trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3430m.) via Ghora Tabela takes about six hours. The path ascends to Ghora Tabela [3000m], where there is a Nepalese army post. The trail continues to climb gently passing a few temporary settlements used by herders. Stay overnight at lodge.
After breakfast, trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin (3870m.) takes about three hours. The trail climbs gradually through small villages, yak pasture and small stream. The trail reaches Kyangjin which hosts a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. Stay overnight at lodge.
This is a rest day at Kyangjin Gompa. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m.), for a breathtaking panorama of the Langtang peaks. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek and climb up to Tserko Ri (5033m.) and trek back to Kyangjin Gompa which takes about seven hours. You trek through steep path all the way to the top. You can see Himalayan peasants, Himalayan deer and outstanding views of surrounding peaks and mountains. From Tserko Ri, you are quite captivated by the panoramic views of Sisapangma, Langshisa Ri, NayaKang, Yala peak, Langtang Lirung and many others. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Kyanjing Gompa to Ngegang (4000m.) which takes about five hours. There you can not see any villages. The trail goes on ascending and area is covered with little natural vegetation. Stay overnight at camp.
Trek from Ngegang to Keldang (5106m.) via Ganja La (5100m.) which takes about five and half hours. This day is comparatively strenuous as you need to cross the Ganja la pass. You can find the Ganja la pass covered with snowy ice most of the times throughout the year. Stay overnight at camp.
Trek from Keldang to Dukpu (4080m.) which takes about five and half hours. Your camping site will be inside the forest. This day you will walk along ridge, grassland with amazing views of Mountains. Stay overnight at camp.
Trek from Dukpu to Tarkeghyang (2740m.) takes approximately five hours. The trail descends about 200mt. Views from Pass are spectacular to the Annapurna Region and Mt. Everest Region too. From pass, the trail descends through pine forest, rhododendron forest past tiny herder’s settlement to Tarkeghyang. You can visit one of the oldest Buddhist monastery and Sherpa villages. These villages are well- settled where friendly and cheerful natured people inhabit. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Tarkeghyang to Shermathang (2621m.) which takes about four hours. This day the trail is quite easier through flat land with beautiful forests on the way. You trek on crossing some small streams on the way. Shermathang is another pretty Sherpa village where you can visit many ancient monasteries. There you can see Jugal Himal range at the north face of Shermathang village. Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Shermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846m.) takes approximately four hours. Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu which takes about four hours. You travel through gravel and bumpy path up to Lamidanda and then you follow the pitched road up to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
As per your flight schedule, our airport representative will transfer from your hotel to the airport for your final departure.
